Safety recommendations in general

Make use of common sense.
Anything that seems too good to be true, such as unreasonably low pricing or promises of quick money, should be avoided.

Meet the sellers face to face.
Before making a payment, inspect the item(s) for quality and make sure they fulfill your expectations.

Never give out any financial information,

Such as bank account numbers, eBay/PayPal account numbers, or any other information that could be used fraudulently.

Take Caution.
Before heading for an interview, do some research on the company and check out its website. Do not pay any upfront costs for a job application or attend interviews in strange or isolated locations. Personal information, such as your bank account number or a copy of your ID, should not be shared.

On, prepayments are strictly prohibited.
Buyers: Neither the shipping nor the merchandise should be paid in advance. You can negotiate the shipping fee, but payment should only be made AFTER the product has been delivered successfully.

Sellers, don’t demand payment in advance of delivery!

Keep an eye out for scams and frauds.

  • Payment services that are not real: does not accept any form of payment for purchases. Please report users who claim to provide these services.
  • Requests for fake fees: Anyone who asks for additional fees to acquire or sell an item or service should be avoided. Import and brokerage fees should never be necessary because never asks for money for its fundamental services and does not allow things that are not located in Nigeria.
  • Demands for the use of money transfer services: Western Union and MoneyGram are not intended for transactions between strangers, but they are used for many scams. Such requests should be avoided.
